The second of these cookies is only created when you check 'Remember my username' on the login page and will be removed when you uncheck this box whilst logging in, provided you actually login.
As with all websites, you can remove all of MistoJam's cookies from your browser by clearing your cookies. This action could be up to and including account deletion, however, it will ultimately be determined on a case-by-case basis.AgeMistoJam does not allow anyone under the age of 13 to create a MistoJam account. This is both for moral and legal reasons. MistoJam allows its users to post whatever they like and will generally only remove reported or moderated material that does not fall within our guidelines, therefore, content that is allowed may also be unsuitable for those under 13. English law also requires parental permission for those under 13 to create accounts on websites which MistoJam is not set up to gain and is unlikely to be any time soon due to the aforementioned moral issues.
Despite under 13s not being allowed to create accounts, some allowed content on MistoJam may still be deemed unsuitable for those under 16. During the sign up process, those who are over 13 but under 16 are advised to inform their parents that they are getting a MistoJam account so that they can "make [their] parent or guardian aware that [they] are getting a MistoJam account so that [the parent or guardian] can advise [the child] on how to use the site safely if they wish." - From MistoJam sign up process.
MistoJam believes that where a user falls into this category it is up to the parent(s) and/or guardian(s) of a user to enforce the importance of not sharing personal information on social sites and teaching them how to use them safely. It is also up to parents to stop their child from using MistoJam should they believe that the user posted content is unsuitable for them. MistoJam cannot be held responsible for users between 13 and 16 viewing content that their parent(s) and/or guardian(s) deem unsuitable.
Besides confirming the age of a new sign up, MistoJam only uses the birth date of its users for analytic purposes.EmailMistoJam requires users emails in order to contact them about several things:
MistoJam does not sell emails of its users to third parties and will only share them when legally obligated to do so.MistoJam ActionAs stated above, in many cases action from MistoJam can be up to and including account deletion. However, where other authorities (such as the police) need to be involved MistoJam will comply with those authorities as morally and legally as necessary.
MistoJam encourages users to report anything that they think needs reporting. Good intentions will not be criticised.Anonymity Through LinksMistoJam gives its users the opportunity to have anonymity between their blog and page.
